"This Is one of those places that there is not much to talk about, besides the quality of the fish in this place. To describe the place, it is small…old and not immaculately clean. Table are long wooden, old style “camping” type tables, that you...share with other patrons. There is always a cue of people waiting to eat here, which attests to the quality of this place. There are many little restaurants around this one… and THIS one is the one that is always full, while other are struggling to have a few customers. So, I came here a couple of days ago for lunch with the family, and – NO BRAINER – simply ordered sardines for myself and the wife… and “carapau” for my daughter, and a salad to share. A jug of wine, and a bottle of water rounded up the meal. Quality was PERFECT, and cannot fault the taste in any way at all. What a pleasure to taste… even though we are not in the sardine season. I would say, however, that the staff are unorganized… touching on rude and arrogant. But at the end of the meal, we had the coffee (expresso), and was satisfied with the meal in this place. When the bill came, it was another little pleasant surprise, since for what I mentioned above – 3 people – I paid EURO.25,00 including tip. Sometimes places like this are what you need… and honestly speaking, I enjoyed the sardines here. So tasty and grilled to perfection. YES… I will come back to this place when I am in town, since it might not be the “sharpest tool in the shed”… but certainly does a great job of satisfying the crave for sardines… or fish in general. Just hope that the workers in this place would be a little more polite."
